The product development team at LINK has worked closely with its userbase to improve the GPS functionality and the low frequency characteristics of the 4030 NVH module for specialized test procedures. These updates grant users with all the key information to assess driving patterns and trends as well as allows them to use the same acquisition hardware for extremely low and high frequency measurements (1Hz to 20kHz).
Embedded 10Hz GPS functionality enabled on V-MAX 4055 CPU modules.
V-MAX 4055 CPU modules are equipped with a host of hardware and software capabilities and provide the user a means to setup, monitor, review and process test data without a laptop computer in the vehicle. Recently, the embedded 10Hz GPS sensor, capable of providing speed, latitude/longitude position, as well as elevation, was enabled in the latest V-MAX software release. Using the supplied GPS antenna, the GPS sensor simply needs to be turned on in the V-MAX software to begin collecting speed, distance and position data. LINK’s powerful data review software, “RevDataPLUS”, sends user configurable test information directly to Google Earth along with the coordinate information. Filtering events that meet specific criteria such as subjective noise rating from the driver provides refined data analysis capability. Paired with the V-MAX 4095 video module with video camera, all of the key information to assess driving patterns and trends are available at the fingertips of the user.
TEDS & Low frequency improvements to V-MAX 4030 NVH Module added.
LINK has released its 3rd generation 4030 NVH (Noise Vibration & Harshness) module for the V-MAX 4000 data acquisition system. Both the 2nd and 3rd generation NVH module are TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) capable, allowing the user to quickly and efficiently import calibration information stored on the sensor with the click of a button. TEDS greatly reduce the amount of time required for sensor setup as well as reduces the opportunity for typographical errors when manually typing calibration information. The latest NVH module has a corner frequency of 1 Hz. This new low frequency capability allows the same acquisition hardware to be used for extremely low and high frequency measurements (1Hz to 20kHz).
